The Short Version

Selected photo data is processed locally in the normal conversion path. ConvertHEIC does not send the selected HEIC bytes to a conversion server. The page still makes ordinary requests for site assets and the analytics services described below.

How We Process Your Data

HEIC-to-JPG conversion is performed locally by code running in your browser. The files you select are not included in the normal analytics events or transmitted to our conversion server. Browser extensions, synced folders, downloaded-file handling, and services where you later upload the JPG operate under their own privacy terms.

Information We Collect

  • Usage Analytics: We use Google Analytics, Plausible, Ahrefs Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity to measure page views, session duration, referral source, device type, and broad interaction patterns. These providers may process online identifiers such as an IP address or cookie according to their own policies.
  • Conversion Events: We may record anonymous converter events such as files selected, conversion started, conversion completed or failed, and download clicked. These events include counts and status only, not filenames or image contents.
  • No Converter Account Profile: The converter does not require a name, email address, or account. If you contact us directly, we receive the information you choose to include in that message.
  • No Image Data: We never see, store, or have access to your images.

Cookies

We use analytics tools to understand aggregate site usage. Cookie behavior depends on each analytics provider and your browser settings. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Third-Party Services

We use Google Analytics, Plausible, Ahrefs Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity for anonymous usage statistics and product diagnostics. These providers may collect anonymized data about your visit.
